Coffee Shop Comforts

I'm an absolute sucker for cute coffee shops, hot drinks, and people watching. You could leave me in a coffee shop with a book, a chai latte and a view onto the street for hours and I wouldn't get bored, nor would I complain. Could it be my inner and very evident introverted nature? Or is it my creative mind seeking any reason for escapism? Or maybe, just maybe, coffee shops are incredibly comforting...

There's nothing quite like a hug in a mug. Be it a strong americano, a mild green tea, or a cinnamon packed chai latte, the general population thrives on hot beverages with approximately 70 million cups of coffee being drank every day in the UK and 165 million cups of tea being drank in Britain daily; it's difficult to argue that anyone doesn't have their own hot drink indulgence.

Furthermore, coffee shops suit all of your needs! There is such a wide variety of drinks available in a unique number of ways that there most definitely isn't something that would suit your needs or tastes. Plus, let's not forget the divine homemade treats available as well as the lunch ideas!

Coffee shops are also warm. Despite being apparently warm-blooded, I am attracted to any and every sign of heat - particularly in Winter. The outdoors is bitterly cold, your fingers go numb, and your cheeks burst red. So where else should you go if there's a coffee shop nearby as not only can you invest in a hot drink, but coffee shops tend to have fantastic heating systems alongside incredibly comfortable seats that you can just sink into.

They are also an ideal area to people watch. So many people come and go from coffee shops with so many different types of tastes, personalities, and presentations, that it's impossible not to dive in to a bit of daydreaming and create your own theories for their lifestyle and personality.

On saying that, coffee shops are great places to write and study in. When it comes tocreative writing you're never short of prompts - be it the tea bag explosion, cream bun chaos, or latte froth overload, there's always something to break that writer's block. Studying is also great to do in coffee shops because it's not too silent (you know that awkward silence that you're scared to click your pen in?) but it's also not overwhelmingly loud. In fact, many people prefer to study to coffee shop sounds and hence apps like "Coffivity" were created to provide coffee shop sounds wherever you go.

"A, why are you rambling about coffee shops?" Good question. Well, they're great and comfortable and you most-definitely-need-to-go.

Visit coffee shops and take care,
